Courtney Woods, EEBW
Courtney Woods is an Equinology® Equine Bodyworker, with a deep-rooted passion for promoting the well-being of horses. Specializing in Sports Massage Therapy (SMT) and Myofascial Release (MFR), with emphasis on functional posture - Courtney uses various techniques to relieve muscular and fascial tension to improve performance, comfort, and health of the horse. Her work is driven by a profound understanding of the physical and emotional connection between horse and human, which she has nurtured since she began her infatuation for horses at the age of 9.
Courtney’s expertise in bodywork and massage therapy involves detailed assessments and customized sessions that address each horse’s unique needs. She works to optimize the body’s ability to heal itself, improving emotional/physical stability, and ensuring they can feel their best while maintaining a strong, trusting bond with their riders. She feels there is no such thing as a “bad horse”, but understands that horses express how their body feels through their behavior. It is her promise to advocate for the horse by becoming an active partner in their wellness team.
In addition to hours of CE in equine studies, she has spent 10+ years in small animal specialty medicine. After completing her degree as a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), she hopes to move her animal health career towards Equine Rehabilitation.
Courtney is also an enthusiastic lover of nature and the outdoors, which complements her commitment to animal care and holistic well-being.
